Empowering Your Privacy

Our Commitment in Words

Privacy Policy

We are delighted that you are visiting our website and would like to thank you for your interest.  The protection of your personal data is a special concern of ours. Therefore, we will only process your data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In this information on data protection, we inform you of the most important aspects of data processing within our website.

1) Security transfer

This website uses SSL and/or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transfer of personal data and other confidential content (e.g. orders or enquiries to the controller). You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” string and the lock symbol in your browser line.

2) Data Collection When Contacting us
If you contact us (by using the contact form on the website or by sending us an e-mail), the data stated by you will be saved by us for purposes of treating your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

3) Data Collection When Visiting our Website

If you only visit our website for informative purposes, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transfer information to us, we will only collect that data which your browser transfers to our server (so-called “server log files”). When you access our website, we collect that data, which is technically required by us in order to display the website to you. Data is processed in accordance with point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest to improve the stability and functionality of our website. The data is not transferred nor used otherwise. However, we reserve the right to subsequently check the server log files should there be concrete indications of unlawful use.

4) Cookies
To make the visit to our website more attractive and to allow the use of specific functions, we use so-called cookies on various web pages. These are small text files that will be stored on your end device. Some cookies will remain saved on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser at your next visit again.

Please note that you can adjust your browser settings so that you are informed when cookies are being placed and so that you can decide individually for each cookie, for cookies for certain cases or in general, if you want to accept them or not. Each browser differs in how it manages the cookie settings. Every browser’s help menu describes how you can change your cookie settings.

Please note that if cookies are deactivated, the functionality of our website can be restricted.

5) Web analytics

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including the abbreviated IP address) is generally transferred to a Google server and stored there.

We only use Google Analytics with IP anonymization activated. This means that the user’s IP address is shortened by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other countries that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server and shortened there.

You can prevent this by configuring your browser settings as to make sure that no cookies are saved.

Hotjar

If you have given your consent to cookies, we use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize our service and users’ experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this helps us  to adjust what we offer in line with our users’ feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices (in particular the IP address of the device which is captured and stored only in anonymized form, device screen size, device type [unique device identifiers], browser information, geographic location [country only], preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. For further details, please see Hotjar’s Privacy Policy. If you do not want to be recorded by Hotjar, you can disable it by setting the DoNotTrack header in your browser. For more information and more about Hotjar’s data processing, please visit: www.hotjar.com/legal/compliance/opt-out.

6) Users rights
Users have the right to request information from us at any time, free of charge, about their personal data stored by us. Users also have the right to have incorrect data rectified, to restrict its processing and to have data erased where appropriate, to assert their right to data portability and, in the event of a presumed breach of data processing regulations, to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In addition, users can revoke their consent, generally with future effect.
